2nd Presidential Debate (Tonight, Oct. 7) Discussion

I do not...I believe we should wait until Osama strays back across the border into A-stan and then bomb the ever loving hell out of him...

Well that'll never happen. If it does be careful with those bombs, for some reason they always land on civillian heads.

Obama said that if Pakistan wont help us find bin Laden, then we just need to go in and do it ourselves, consequences be damned.

He said something similar about Iran....

You're full of shit and twisting his words, distorting it just like your lovely McCain.

In fact,Obama said that he would sit down and negotiate with the opposition as well our allies to resolve the issues. Your warmongering, belligerent, senile fool on the other hand, wants to do the exact opposite.

So did Fox spin it as another McCain victory? Personally I'm staying away from watching these things because I don't believe either candidate offers 'change' given they are both backed to the gills with the same interests as those before them. Though Obama is probably less likely to lead us into World War 3 over Iran. Still I'm interested to hear how Murdochs men twisted it around. :dozey:

Ridge said:

and McCain?
Asked if "you'd go get him" if U.S. forces had a fix on bin Laden in Pakistan, McCain said: "Sure. Sure. We have to, and I'm sure that after the initial flurry, that whoever our friends are, wherever he is, would be relieved because, as I mentioned to you before, he's still very effective in the world, very, very effective."

McCain broadened that threat to say he'd target the Taliban operating in Pakistan, too: "I think that if we knew of al-Qaida ? more specifically Taliban, it's mainly Taliban that are operating in these places ? that we have to do what's necessary. We don't have to advertise it. We don't have to embarrass or humiliate the Pakistani government."

And Palin said the same thing in different words.

I wish bitches could just be honest with what they're planning. Or STFU and GTFO

WTF does McCain not realise that Pakistan has nukes?
And I mean real ones, not imaginary nukes or potential nukes like Iraq, Iran, North Korea.

What a dumb shit.

I love how everyone talks about scenarios where we might need to interfere on Israel's behalf so as not to let Iran develop nuclear weapons. Looking at history, there is no way in hell that Israel would let it come close to that. They are not one to take that sort of development lying down. Look at Six Day War if you disagree. They will be the ones acting first and we will end up backing them no matter what.

I also love how we talk about the president of Iran like he is the second coming of Hitler when in reality he has NO CONTROL of the military in Iran. That honor goes to the Supreme Leader who is almost NEVER mentioned in the news because Ahmadinejad is the one always making the loud and provocative statements (just as Kim Jong-il has done to try to get a seat at the world table).

I blame the media.

OK debate though. It gets a par. Nothing too surprising. Obama wins this one too.

Definitely a victory for Obama.

McCain might as well give his defeat speech.

I was shoched, Obama actually hit back, something I don't expect from a democrat. It was a clear victory for Obama. I totally agree with Laivasse, when Obama brought up "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" it was a clear knock out punch. McCain didn't know what to do at that point.

I'm glad Obama backtracked on nuclear power, that was the part that blew me away. But it still proves he's just another politician as in December when he said he wasn't for nuclear power he needed to win the primaries, now that he needs to win the general election he's all for it.

woot woot bring on ww3 :D
and dose any 1 have a link to the debate i missed it

someone told me obama's economic plan is le retard...plz explain
Maybe you should ask them to explain next time, because your guess is as good as mine tbh. Judging from everything I've heard so far, McCain's plan is le plus retard. 'Reward the richest and everyone benefits' is kind of how it can be summed up.

Goddamn it, those bastards debating meant no House or Fringe Episodes this week...****ers!!!!! :flame:

That video is 13337 long. lololol

"America the greatest force of good in the entire history of the world."

No McCain, just no.
He actually said that?

What a ****ing dickhead. I'm surprised he even has the brains to dress himself in the morning.

You know, I had a wee watch of some of the debate last night because of a sudden bout of insomnia.

Anyway, I wasn't really focusing much on the spiels both men were making (politicians words just seem to wash over me if I'm not the slightest bit alert), but McCain just doesn't fit the bill of a leader.

I know the guy's old, but even addressing the audience he'd forget half the shit he was supposed to say, always referring to notes and the like. Obama on the other hand just exerts a great deal of confidence in his speech. The delivery is good and he doesn't stumble or mince words.

A very stupid observation, but an observation none the less.

it really doesnt matter what at least one candidate says in a debate, people have already made up their minds

you're ****ed america if these are typical voters ..which they must be because how else can any sane and rational person explain 8 years of bush? ..it's as if americans throw common sense right out the door every 4 years

Lol'd @ the blonde chick who kept jumping infront of the camera, aghhhhhh her voice, it burns!

I love the complete non-committal nature of them all, as if not saying something hides the bigotry so clearly written across their faces. It's like their brains are saying 'If I don't say ****** or Coon they can't call me a racist, no sirree bob'. Disturbing tbh. :dozey:

Lovely package there. Ignorance + religion + nationalism + racism + conservatism = giant clustercunts.

It shames me to know I have to share my country with those tard monkeys.

It would be one thing if people objected about him on grounds of policy etc, but to blatantly and irrationally imply that the man whose the alternative to your candidate is a '****ing Terrorist' is beyond bizarre. Potential next president of USA is secretly Al Qaeda member? This is what happens when paranoia inducing drivel like '24' is pumped into peoples living rooms.
