what do you think?
It's a pretty revolutionary approach to a wallpaper you must admit.
I tried it and liked it but it took up too many system resources on my comp. Check it out.

btw just wait until the next "What's your wallpaper" thread if you have this thing...

True. It also took too long to load.

Looks kinda pointless.
I think it would get annoying pretty quickly.

I tried it. You need a very good rig to run it. If you don't have more than 1 Ghz, forget it. Plus, there are still bugs, some links didn't work, and overall pointless. I see no reason using this compared to using my normal desktop if I was to be more efficient. Oh, did I mention that there were ads? You can change them...if you pay...
Could it be the future? If they don't streamline it, then I doubt it. It's no Star Trek.

Shit. Now, if you have found a real Matrix shell interface I would be very greatfull.

Let me put it this way:

I would rather go back to DOS 6.22 than use that as a GUI.

I used to have an old acorn which had a similar style operating system add-on... just the graphics weren't as good and it wasn't true 3D... It was kinda Myst like. Click on one area, takes you to another... click on a filling cabinet, and you get the "my documents" equivelent folder to pop-up. Time wasting crap IMO.

:dork:

Can you say resource hog? I don't even like the Windows XP Theme cause it takes up too much CPU time, and my rig is top notch.

I think this is an awesome idea. I'm sure it has its pros and cons. Pros, it looks really cool. Cons, it must take for ever to launch applications, and find things. Do you just walk around in these 3d worlds? or Float? or what. I didnt feel like reading. Atleast there pushing boundries which is something I've always loved.

yeah, interesting. not particularly useful, a fun thing to impress some people with maybe.

I downloaded it and it was fun for about 5 minutes, but beyond that it's entirely pointless, plus it seems a bit weird how windows is still there in the background and you can still get the Start Menu up because I could never be bothered to go and find the stuff whe I could access it off the menu.

I've been doing a lot of desktop customizing lately (desktopX)..but this is amazing!

I don't even care about performance anymore, there are no good games that I want to play right now.

Its fun , resource hog? No , I really wonder if some of you even tried it before blindly bashing. My computer is not a utilitarian piece of machinery , its for me to enjoy. Being able to put pictures up and walk around stuff is enjoyable when Id usually just be looking at my desktop.

This reminded me of this thing that came on one of my old computers (it was like 100 MHrz). It was called BOB (I think?), and it was just this house that you created rooms in that you could decorate with different themes and objects... but was mainly meant for putting shortcuts to stuff in. I dunno... *I* had fun with it...
