Have any you been following the development of this upcoming horror flick?
It's based of a comic and it looks very gritty and gruesome.
I've seen a few clips on youtube and it looks like a very promising vampire/survival movie.
Not to mention how sinister and scary the Vampires appear to be.
It takes place in Alaska, where the sun sets and doesn't rise for over thirty consecutive days and nights.Vampires arrive and start stalking and feeding upon the residents of the town. It's definitely going to be rated R.
Check out some of the clips on youtube.
Especially the one with the girl vampire.

Saw the trailer in front of The Brave One this past weekend and it actually looks pretty kick-ass. I will likely be seeing this one very soon. I really hate that Josh kid in it though...:hmph:

I will be seeing this for sure. Looks kickass.

I read the graphic novel...pretty decent. Ill wait for the DVD.

My roommate has been going nuts over this. He has the graphic novel and its sequel, and was thrilled when he saw the first commercial for it.

So, have you guys seen it? It's gotten pretty horrible reviews thus far.

Im about to go watch it......

NOW!.

Brb with opinions.

Went out and saw it with my mates on Friday, nothing special. As far as a vampire movie goes it was pretty good, but the love story tossed in and the lack of adherence to the "kill the head vampire" rule made it less-good

?? How was there a lack of it?

It seemed more like a zombie horror movie than a vampire one to me, only in this movie the zombies can talk a little bit and have some other vampire traits. Pretty decent though, i'd agree with the imdb score.

Man... Vampire movies, Werewolf movies, and even combinations of Vampire/Werewolf movies disappoint the hell out of me. I can never find a good one. Guess I'm going to have to make one myself. :|

Try Shadow of the Vampire and Dog Soldiers, Raz?

I liked Cal MacDonald which was by the same author as the comic book on which this film is based - pretty tenuous link.

Just watched this film. It was pretty good in some parts. I kinda liked the mood they created. But then the ending was like a frying pan in to the head while being kicked to the balls from the behind. Goddamn that ending brought down the score on this one. :(
