3D Mark '03 on my vid card

I have a Radeon 9700 Pro and recently checked the database of other ppl with 9700's. I noticed that most of the scores are pretty close to mine except for Wings of Fury. Is it because its very CPU dependent since my processor is only 1ghz that ppl are getting 180fps average while mine was only about 80. Anyone?

Wings of Fury is fairly low tech, so your FPS is only limited to the amount of frames your CPU can throw at your videocard.
