3rd Party mods you wanna see most

I'd love to see The Specialists on Source, but it most likely won't happen.

OES is sounding pretty great
 
Day of Defeat (can we say ragdoll on beach maps? =P), Sven, Natural Selection.

And I really want someone to make a Hunter: The Reckoning-esque game for 4 players (3rd or 1st person, either way).

Those are my picks for now.

The Specialists, simply because nothing else can touch it.

I would like to see a coop mod as well, not Svencoop.. I loathe svencoop, I just want vanilla coop.. I have been playing with my friend through hl coop in sven the last couple nights, and we both agree they had to "work" to make the mod unenjoyable....
we dont like the beefed up badguys that spawn in the 500s and kill you as soon as you randomly spawn around the map.

its just not coop.. its a game you play that happens to be set in some hl levels.

now we are both worried about the state of the "official" coop mod being made for HL2 (by the sven team)... I just pray it is vanilla HL2, and not some weird derivitive of the sp game.
 
Some of the single player mods could be realllllyyy cool. :p
Plus I'd like to see someone redo HL (but with more additional detail then valve is doing).
 
i read somewhere that a mod based on battle royale is being developed. that should be pretty interesting to see!

May not be CoD for too much longer. Plus, it didn't say HL mods you wanna see on HL2 it says 3rd party mods...

Oh, and to those of you who obviously don't know, it *is* being ported. It's a HL and HL2 modification.

Public Enemy. :D The maps are pretty damn impressive, and would look fantastic in Source.

i remember i got flamed for this very same view when i first joined here as a member.. anyway i understand what u mean.
i don't know if a couple of modders can make that "vanilla" co-op mod u are talking about.. but if they can.. i already see the success it will garner ;)

Gunman Chronicles, I would love to see that huge Brachiosaur in high detail.
 
Natural Selection .. the most impressive mod ive seen so far. Although The Specialists was good.

HL-Nightwatch - Even though not out yet, having seen what they have done with original HL engine can only imagine what source could do.

Actually I was hoping for a more in-depth description of the kind of mod you were referring to. We yanks may not know or get the references.
 
Oh ok! Well, there was this french film about a slightly strange woman who goes around helping people secretly.. it was a massive hit in Europe a few years ago...

It was just that the enviroments in HL2 looked like they could be adapted well to Montmartre in Paris, where the film is set.

I was thinking that it would be cool to meet the various characters from the film... a bit like a 1st person fps adventure game (maybe even 3rd person)

it wouldn't have to be very big or long.. just really nicely done...

Anyway, just floating the idea!

btw, Chris D you're my hero for saying AHL2 before I did.

What else... maybe the DBZ mods, those would be really fun/ny in source.
