3rd person revisited

Yestoday someone claims in a thread that Max Payne is the best 3rd person view 3D action game ever. I just want to know have u played games like, devil may cry, onimusha, shinobi, chaos legion, Dynasty Tactics(strategy but quite action)...I mean Max Payne is not bad, but comparing to the above list, Max Payne is far from being the best. Most of the above games are not for PC, but few of them have PC version which could blow away Max Payne easily.

I havent played either of those games lined up, so MP still stands as best 3rd person FPS (however that make sense ) for me.

However, the games I've played the most in 3rd person is Morrowind. So "best" isnt exactly an exact science.

I would like to see a 3rd person view option in HL2, would be nice in some larger maps and/or when there is alot of stuff going on.

, ok u might have. First person has alot more imersion to it. Third person is ok, but its not as good as first when there is a decent story to be told to the player throughout the game.
