Load mushrooms and Chocolate bars in missiles and power them with ethyl in beer. Done :)

Don't worry, friends. January 24's comet will pass us by harmlessly. Nothing to worry about.

However, woe for the all-destroying comet of 2014, that will char our miserable little planet to cinders.

Umm..

****?

Why is it that these things never seem to have any impact (no pun intended) on us at all? 50/50 chance we all ****ing die is pretty god damn important.

maybe because is bullshit?

I guess it probably is?

But isn't it weird how humans have developed a sense of immortality from something like this? Simply because it's never happened to us before? I have a feeling that even if it was real, people would not seem to worry about it because they would think "oh, something this huge would never happen in our lifetimes, so it probably won't happen, let's ignore it"

That thing isn't big enough to do anything but kill whoever it lands on.

Apparently it's about 1/4 of a mile long, so that'll cause some ****ing devastation at its speed.

Yeah but it's still like half the largest estimated size of the tunguska asteroid event. I mean... that just caused localized and shockwave damage. Nothing catastrophic unless it like, hit new york or another equally dense city.

What if like something like a vingitillion light years away is throwing these thing right at us seeing how close he can get, how "OMFG, DID YOU SEE THAT?!!!" it will be when it hits?

Isn't this thing small enough to nuke to bits?

bring it on. an excuse to get mortalled i think. i can see it now...

brindle why are you getting so mashed?

err, cos we're all going to die on the 24th

oh nice one finger me now

Yes, just like any huge event with people. 9/11 is the perfect example, we didn't really worry about it until it happened.

You get drunk. I'll drive to Oklahoma if it'll hit Dallas. :dork:

I aim to live.

The chances of it hitting the Earth are officially 0% rather than 50%

it's, like, about the size od the dinosaur one.
also, fux the Earth. Did you see those humans? the messed it up so badly it's worth more nuke'd then green.

What if something bigger than the solar system moving like holy shit speed was to come? lool.

You mean like another galaxy merging with this milky way one?

Happens all the time.

This is like the 20th time we've been doomed since 2000. Good century for doom so far, and we've still got the Mayan doomsday to look forward to. Anyone remember that planetary alignment that was supposed to wreak havoc a few years back? What was it, May 5 2000? And of course the new millennium it self, what with Jesus coming back and all.

Perhaps the people who make bottled water, canned beans, and flashlights just have really good marketing people. Anyone else remember going to the store in December of '99 and seeing people in line with a few carts full of nothing but water and toilet paper?

Don't forget duct tape! Duct tape prevents asteroid vapor from entering your home after impact.

That's silly, Raziaar.

...silly like a fox! *gets 10 rolls*

makes sense pesmerga. there have only been about 5 dooms says.

Man, I can't die until I play L4D.

You know... I often think how much it'd suck to die before I get to play the latest game I'm anticipating.

Like seriously, how and why the **** does that trivial thought enter my mind? Like a video game is the most important thing in my life...

woops sorry guys. The Xyclosians accidentally shot the planet gun at Earth. they meant kahplurah.

It's not the most important thing. I have many goals to achieve, many things to do, many things to tell people, and you too. The difference is that I'm not worrying about it because that will be worse for me.

I hope it has become 0. Do you have a source? Anyways, not much we can do so worrying will only make it shitty. I think a meteor of this size will only kick up an awful lot of dust and really suck for a 200 mile radius around impact.
