Good movie? Let the poll decide.

Very good, anybody who disagrees obviously missed the humorous over-the-top Die Hard feel of the whole movie.

It's basically Die Hard in the future with an awesome hover car chase.

I agree. It was cool and entertaining. A good action with sci-fi. I might even watch it later tonight.

I wish every single one of you vultures who hangs on every word Solaris says, and
consequentially tries to built himself up at the expense of Solaris would be set on fire
and thrown in a pool of acid.

But yes the movie was good, is it out in HD yet?

What the hell are you talking about?

Anyway, yes, very awesome movie. Action sci-fi with good action and good sci-fi. And Gary Oldman.

Excellent film. Luc Besson rocks.

Afaik it is out in HD Gray Fox.

Amazing piece indeed. Own it on BLUUUUUUUU.

Milla Jovovich naked, yes thanks!

Awesome movie too.

Sometimes I get Gray Fox and Solaris mixed up, its hard to tell them apart considering how stupid and troll-ish many of their posts are.

Fifth Element is awesome. And Ive gotten weird looks from people in real life for saying that, which surprised me because I thought everyone knew it was awesome.

Yep, it's an entertaining movie. I have it in HD too.

1. Nobody gives a shit what Solaris thinks.

2. Shut up Gray Fox.

3. Back on topic.

4. I haven't seen it.

I've only seen the beginning, and I wasn't paying attention.

Haha, I saw the missing posts!

Also, average film. No interesting Sci-fi ideas at all.

It's not the ideas, it's the execution of them. Amazing film.

Chris Tucker makes a perfect foil for Bruce's straight guy act.

Average film although I really liked gary oldman in it.

It's ranked as one of my favorite films. Anybody who says it sucks needs to choke on a dick sandwich.

Haven't seen it in a long time. I thought it was kind of cheesy when I saw it, but I don't remember much about it. I think I'll go and rent it and watch it again.

One of my favorite soft sci-fi flicks, it's really excellent in the way it doesn't take itself seriously at all, but pretends to very well.

Also, best scene in any movie ever:

GIMMIE DA CAAAAASH!!

Was a bunch of posts deleted? Anyway, Leeloo is hot.

Triva from Imdb: When composer Eric Serra showed soprano Inva Mulla Tchako (who dubs the voice of the Diva) the sheet music for the Diva Dance, she reportedly smiled and relayed to him that some of the notes written were not humanly possible to achieve because the human voice cannot change notes that fast. Hence, she performed the notes in isolation -- one by one, as opposed to consecutively singing them all together and they digitized the notes to fit the music. There are a few moments when you can hear the differences in the vocal tones of The Diva's voice.

I liked the opera song in the movie. It was cool.

Best part is the durations of Ruby's show from Fhloston Paradise. Legendary.

For me the best part is the negotiation on the opera ship between Korben and the alien Mercs.

Where did he learn to negotiate like that?

I think it's cool, and a pretty intressting way of filmmaking, of never letting Bruce and Gary actually meet, or even interact.

(imdb)

I remember it being "good" saw it a really long time ago.

Motherf***ing awesome. I remember a few years ago when I got it for my birthday on DVD. Those were happier times...

It's basically Blade Runner in the life of a cab driver. Also MULTI PASS!

Man now im in a 5th element mood. Soon as I get home im grabbing 5000 screencaps for the purpose of this thread

Get Ruby patting the dead Mangalore's face telling him to wake up :p

I rate it good, not amazing, but definitely makes it into my top favorite films of all time.
I also found it quite original that Dallas and Zorg never actually meet at all throughout the whole film.:p

Oh and:

ZF1 Bitches!

Cant believe I havent seen this before, Chris Tucker in a futuristic envoiroment is already a seller!

Definitely one of those films that is more than the sum of its parts. I've seen it a thousand times, and will probably see it a thousand more.

The movie over all wins, but fails for Chris Tucker (he basically played himself in the movie) and wins for multipass.
