Yep, most have, but its still fun to watch again. Have you seen the bink vids yet? full res versions of some of the scenes from the E3 vid. Worth checking out if you have the time.

We should all download these through Steam. My guess is they are using this as a bandwidth test for delivery of large packages to a large user base.

If it is successful we are more likely to get HL2 sooner than later as they are planning for a tandem store/steam release.

(This is assuming of course they are close to finishing the game. Which I guess is quite an assumption.

I watched it, too. 56k here.... and boy, lemme tell ya', it took more than a F*CKING hour to download it! >__< Try 4 god damned days straight, lmao.

It was worth it, though. The video shows tons of awesome, jaw-dropping effects, etc.

Restored my faith in VALVe and HL2.

download the bink files, their about the same size give or take a few meg, but much better quality, they shouldn't take too long on a 56k, and certainly worth the download IMO.

Arnt all the bink movies larger than 100mb.
If so thats quite a meating download for 56K.
Still, just get a download manager like DAP and away you go!!!

By the way, if you haven't seen the E3 video & Bink movies (I definitely recommend the Bink versions) you can get 'em all at www.hl2files.com along with just about any other Half-Life 2 related file you'd want.

I have to say, I'm always a little surprised when I find someone that hasn't already seen the footage. I envy the folks that get to experience that initial jaw dropping. Heh.
