6600 GT on HL2

Hey guys, im wondering if you could help me on this one, im thinking about ordering a 6600GT AGP graphics card, but i have an AMD Athlon 2.4 and 1024MB PC2100 Ram. what frames should i expect on half life 2 and on what settings?

A 6600 GT will run HL2 with 1 frame per second... you should upgrade to Voodoo 1 instead

Cool, i hope my specs dont affect my frames per second much, what sort of frames are you getting?

6600GT
AMD 64 3400
512MB 3200 DDR

I can run the game @1024 w all settings on high although sometimes a high AA will make it stutter a little.

The vid card is good, you might want to upgrade your CPU too since HL2 is very CPU dependent.

I have a 6800LE on a 3200+ Barton Mobile (2500+ orig) and it runs 1200x1024xnormal without problems

well, if anyone has a rough idea of what frames i'll be getting, please let me know. and how much better is the 6600GT than the 9800 XT?
