Anyone got any ideas on what the best tool is to unlock pipelines or set potimal frequncies for this card ?

Good for overclocking as it's built right into the nVidia options interface, and I think has an option to let it detect optimal settings.

As for pipelines..

RiviaTuner is good for unlocking, but not all 6800 GS brands allow it. Do some research and see if yours can.

The 6800 GS has no pipelines to unlock afaik. Rather than a cut down version of the 6800 GT, the GS is actually a new card.

That's why I got a GT (Y).

If you're happy overclocking you can get well over GS clock speeds.
Mine is running over the 6800 ultimate speeds.

But the guy has a GS, and you can unlock pipelines on some GS brand cards, but I can't say I've looked too much into i, because I've never needed to.

Ok i just tried this cool bits shit didn't seem to have worked but my fps has decreased by abt 20 since update yesterday

My 6800GS is the AGP version and can have all pipes unlocked to make it 16/6 from 12/5. They use the same core as the GT but one or both of the pipes are faulty. The extra pixel pipeline is damaged in mine and causes graphics corruption in images so I can only run it at 12/6.
