pwnage, thats awsome, :D:D:D lol, 100 fps+, is there any need for there to be so much Fanboy banta between ATI and Nvidia when the fps is undetectably so high for both anyway.
 
Looks almost as good as my Radeon 9800 Pro. Just a little faster. :D Hehehe.

BTW, no one really questions the power of the 6800. How about some 1600x1200 shots? :D

(I get 50+ at 1280x960)
 
Wrong forum, since all the ATI vs NVidia thingies go to the hardware, but nice picks nevertheless.
 
That's....excellent, I'm getting an A64 3000+ with GT, and a gig of Corsair XMS, yay.
 
I DID NOT post this for a ati vs nvidia war just to show what it can LOOK like is all. Both cards are good nodody looses.
 
That 6800 GT is some serious ownage ... look beautifull ...

Those pics look nice. I like the use of bump mapping in HL2 - gives everything a very tactile look. Still haven't decided if I'm going to go with ATi or nVidia for my next comp. I don't have the money to build it now so I guess it doesn't matter.
 
Dis, I agree it was very very hard choice, for the 400.00+ range I choose the 6800GT 16 pipes, if I had the money for a 500.00+ range it would be the ATI X800XT.
 
I like the pics, but obviously this is a thread to show of ones system, and since the guy/girl payed a shitload of money to get it, give him his day in the spotlight
 
Not really at all but yes im happy with the results, I wish someone would post some X800XT or Pro pic as well with fraps. I might through my wife's 9800pro in my machine to see what it does.

no just the awsome grafx that we will all see in HL2. By the looks of your machine I would love to see some high rez screens if at all possible? I was more in aw over the engine & grafx then me simply getting money and putting a machine togather any monkey can do that. I can tell your proud of your machine as well or you wouldn't have wasted time making a sig with every part down to the mouse pad.
 
im not really trying to rip on him, but i think its kind of cheesy to show off your rig by starting a thread about it. id love to show u some high rez screens. but its 2 in the morning, ill take some for u tomorrow.

Yes guinny. It's kinda pointless to cry about someone bragging when you yourself have a sig with the best rig available in this world. He was trying to be helpful. That's all, I thought it was helpful as I'm getting a 6800 GT!
 
{RIP}Bastion i saw the point in you posting the thread, thanks...great stuff.:) It's good to see the performance results of these new cards when i dont have one yet. And ignore guinny and cenmocay, they're sad sad people who have deep personal problems and misery loves company. :p

Yea, thats it. :dozey: I have deep personal problems because I thought it was cheesy to make a thread showing us what a 6800 gt could do. Even though, you know, we've had about 6 benchmark reviews already showing us what it looks like.
 
Funny thing is, I found this thread helpful. Therefore you need not to state how useless it is. He made a thread that not nearly 1/10 of the boards members will look into, and yet you have your rig in your sig that is displayed to all people. To me it's kinda 2,789 (your post count) boasts whereas bastion has "boasted" once.
Really it's ridiculous. We've already proved that it's not useless boasting, alas. You need to drop your continuing negativity.

Ironically, I'm running a 3.0C @ 3.6 and am getting a BFH 6800 Ultra. Ram is either going to be Ballistix or OCZ EB 3700. Not sure yet. But yeah, I found this helpful, as I have a fairly close rig.

BTW reviews from sites are not everything. It means much more when you see regular people posting actual results from their home PCs. Sometimes that just holds more water IMO and that's why it's worth posting.
