what kind of resolution would that be? I mean, for example 3m pixels would be 2048*1532 etc. so what would 690k pixels be?

There isn't a standard res for that. Goes from
800*600 =480k
1024*768=786k

960*720=691200
I don't think it's going to be even for 690k exactly.
What is this about?

960 by 720 follows the same pattern as the others, 1024/768 = 4/3, same as 800/600, 960/720 and 1280/960, they all come out at 4/3, which is just 4:3 right, not sure about that though.

It's sad that I have no idea what you guys were talking about until I figured out it was resolution, and even still I'm lost

Yeah that should be right, I'm looking at a camcorder with 690k pixel res.
