The boys over at HardOCP managed to snag a screenshot of an XFX GeForce 7800 GT advertised for sale over at ZipZoomFly. The card is ringing up at $450 and features 20 pipes and a core/mem clock of 420MHz/1GHz.

And this bastard had to come out 2 months after I built my PC :angry:

Oh well. Sounds like an INCREDIBLE deal. I'm still waiting on benchies though, so we'll just have to wait and see then, eh?

Well, from what Asus said, perhaps the 7800gt's will dip to near 6800gt prices in a few months.

I have a 6800GT overclocked to Ultra speeds since day 1, an its a champion performer, That 7800GT should be super fast too and I bet it will be overclockable to 7800GTX speeds whitout problems, price and performance wise, the GT line is always the way to go!

I imagine low end AGP cards will be available for a while, but if people want performance, they'll have no choice but to go pci-e...
