steal what? freezes when the comp screen saver stays on, when im trying to open up hl2 when its loading, i had to dl world of warcraft 3 times till it finally finished and now the same thing happens when i try to open it also i havent tryed to dl doom 3 yet. sorry for the lack of descriptiveness.

my rig uses the fallowing:
amd athalon 64 3200+ 90nm
msi ati rx800 pro
msi k8n neo4 mb
ocz platinum rev2 ddr 2-2-2-5 mem
segate 160 gig hd
lite-on dvd rom drives
windows xp pro with service pack 2

sounds like downloading of illegal files to me!!

because I don't think you can get doom3 over the internet any other way...

if this is the case,you most likely got some evil virus or some other nonsense(at some point)that is screwing with your PC now...

and by the way,warez kind of talk isn't cool around here(if that is whats going on)

As for your problem, sounds like a virus or a problem with your unpacker / mounter software.
