It's still in closed beta, I thought there was an open beta phase before it would be released. Where did you get that date? on the beta boards?

No I got the date from a site that reviewed the game...

I was very VERY happy to read it but since the open beta has not happened (Sign-ups for the beta are coming soon )

The game will not make an early November release. It's still in closed beta, has (atleast) 2 more patches to go before open beta, and then it will go through atleast a week or open beta. I'd imagine longer.

It'll probably make an early december release, but I can't see it hitting early November. As much as I want it to..

WoW, in general, bug free as it stands. There are a few minor bugs, but I never experience crashes anymore, load times are great, game looks polished.. it's almost ready for OB/release. the latest push screwed some stuff up, but I'm sure it'll be fixed (biggest annoyance would be, for me, missing attacks atleast twice as much as the previous patches).

Private servers suck, too. Nothing better than fighting NPCs that people spawn, while in lag, without any of the cool armor, quests, or proper events! \o/

Open beta is just that, open! lol, there's going to be a signup period before it begins that allows anyone who signed up to access the beta. I'm not sure if this signup period will be limited, it probably will be, but EVERYONE that applies will get access to it.

I really do hope they hold out until the end of november or even december and have a few week long OB.... dont get me wrong, I would love to play WoW now... but with LOTR the third age and HL2 I wont have time for much else when college and work is added to the fray. anyhow... I wouldnt mind if OB started today
