i was watching a local sports channel for the nightly scores/news and shocked to hear that tickets for game 1 at Fenway Park are going as high as $8000 US Dollars.. :O

my goodness... i thought $4000 Canadian Dollars was a lot of money for tickets to the last game at Maple Leaf Gardens..

any Bostonians around here to comment on this?

uh..yeah. no kidding? :p
im just wondering whos insane enough to pay that kinda cash for a game.. and get this, its not even a game 7 type situation where anybody who goes to the game is gauranteed to see a champion.

for $8000 US Dollars? somebody on the Red Sox team better be ready to effin' kneel down to me. (that is if i had that kinda cash to blow for a game :p )

It sucks man. I wanted tickets so bad. 2000 dollars for the worst seats in the place. It is the Red Sox though.

For a baseball game about $40 for the cheapest. :p

Bleacher seats are right around 18 dollars. Upper bleachers are normally 12 dollars. Those same seats are going for 2000 dollars for these games.

For some people, $8k is chump change....

oh yeah... silly me..
i forgot we live in the same world as Donald Trump and Billy Gates where $8000 is like one hour's worth of spending money for them :p

the only way anyone would catch me spending that kinda money on sports tickets is if i can afford $8000 as pocket change ;)

edit: $8000 probably too small a number for those two money machines :p

It's sick, why don't they just give half of the cash raised to charity or something, at least try and do something good with it rather than just cackle and line the pockets.
It's false economy, the money being spent is completely and ludicrously arbitrary at that level shame on the people.

I would spend that much if I was gaining more than 300k
