Benchmarks:

Priced between 579-599 dollars.
Both sides covered so real hardware exposed
Full Metal casing
LED lights
And i think it uses less power (is that why there is only 1 PSU cord?)
Basically 2 GPU units combined (hence GX2)

Monster of a card, however, i would advice current 8800GTX owners to simply buy another 8800 instead of a 9800 because it shows that SLI 8800GTX beats 1 9800, besides, its cheaper. But if u have neither, just buy a 9800 ;)

So...hows getting it? Im not for a while, im just gona SLI my current.

My 8800 GTS (old version) still tackles most games without fail. I'm going to be getting a PS3 soon, so I doubt I'll be able to upgrade any time in the near future. That said, I wouldn't bother upgrading to the 9800 anyways, as the gains aren't worth it right now.

I love the case.

They just keep getting more and more oversized.

Yeah. I'm still going to stick with GPUs on a single PCB (printed circuit board). Although I don't mind if the cooler takes up 2 slots as long as it is fairly quiet and still keeps it cool.

Fast, but pointless. You can buy 2 8800GT's for less than one of those, so unless you don't have a board with 2 x PCI-E 16x slots then you can get faster for less. Plus, one 8800GTS or GTX should be sufficient for most. Unless you have a 24 inch monitor upwards the perceived performance difference is going to be minimal. Plus, reliance on driver support to obtain the full performance of your card, sucks.

Much too expensive for me. I'll probably get an 8800gtx, and then later when the price drops even more, get a second.

I just got a HD 3870 X2, happy to see it's not a total wasted investment :p

Even at 1920x1200, the only unplayability I experience in games is Crysis at full resolution during intense combat scenes. But then I'd never play Crysis just for the combat :|

Meh, not worth it really. I want to see what they come up with next. Btw what do they have planned?

I guess April is it. Then there's the stuff to get the poor unsuspecting PC gaming noobs.

still haven't seen the 8800GT drop a penny in price. :hmph:

just picked up a couple of these last week havent installed them yet.

Make a note: The 8800 GT isn't trailing too far back in this benchmark.

Hybrid cards when combined with the right MB? Sweet idea all the way around.

These cards are "Must have" for those of you upgrading now. If you already bought your 8xx GT, GTX the thing you can do most is to watch trailers and hands-on reports. don't be starting hating now mofos, because your GT, GTX ain't as outdated as you may think.

... Yeah I'm talking to myself.
