I'm taking a photography class over the summer, and i'll be using my dads own Nikon FM2 with a 75-150mm E Series lense.
Few questions.
First and formost, HOW DO I GET THE ****ING DOOR OPEN??? I know where the release lever is located, but no matter how many times I roll it back, the door stays put. I'm thinking maybe new batteries would do the trick (10 year old batteries
), but they seem to have enough juice to work the indicator lights.
EDIT: Figured out the door. I feel stupid now.
Next, when I pulled the camera out of storage, it had an MD12 attatched to it. After cleaning all the sodium off of the terminals, it seems good enough to use. My question is, should I bother bringing it to class? This'll be my first venture into photography, and i'm guessing the motor drive would just be a waste of space and dead weight for such an entry level class.
Last question, is this a good camera/lense combo? I have no other choice, but i'm just curious as to what you guys think of them
