Has anyone noticed that the dune buggy in HL-2 is an automatic yet it has a stick shift? No clutch + Stick shifter = One fu*ked up car!

I tried to supply a pic but it fu*ked up so your just going to have to go see for yourself.

We don't know if it's really automatic, maybe we're just not required to deal with shifting and Gordon is supposed to be doing it anyway.

The funny thing is that I crashed my bike into a parked car when I was a kid because I was talking to my parents.

I remember falling off my bike and onto the rim of it, hurting my balls. And all that because I reached for the bottle to drink as I was exhausted. Damn road bumps!

I remember falling on my head because I was trying to make my hind wheel go up.

There is a manual transmission option in the jeep script, but there is no keys for switching gears.

*waits for thread to go wildly of topic, possibly involving Russian MIGs and the crashing thereof*

Anyways, i don't know too much about the inner workings of cars. Find it suss that there's an infinite ammo crate on the back?

i would say that the lever is the brake. but even if it is a stick shift, how do you knoe gordon isnt just shifting with his invisible hands?

Well you can't see Gordon's hands on the steering wheel, let alone the gearstick. Back to the Need For Speed 3 and 4 days. Annoying

I know gordon isn't shifting because there is no clutch pedal. It's got a stick shift so it should have a third pedal a.k.a. a clutch.

Maybe it doesn't have gears in the traditional sence, it's obviously advanced, going so fast for so long with such a small motor.

What the hell is the point of this?

Read the rules please.

You sig shouldn't be that big! That's hugeeeeeeeeee!

It is bloody enormous.

Obviously, the buggy was originally manual. But Gordon Freeman, despite being an MIT graduate, is too stupid to be able to switch gears (not to mention he never learned to drive) so the G-Man used his amazing powers to tamper with the buggy's transmission so that Gordon would actually make it to Nova Prospekt instead of getting stuck doing three-point turns on a beach somewhere.

Duh.
