a HL2 themed steam skin

well combine themed anyway. i have it in grey and blue window backgrounds too instead of the default steam color. photobucket.com has been slow lately, hopefully that works.

ok i sent out the rar to johan and simmo. its 6 skins in about a half a megabyte, because there are 3 colors, and i added a variation for the mainwindow for all 3 skins which has halflife2 written on the side, which is the version i prefer using. heres a pic of that in case you were wondering

I downloaded it, maybe I'm not installing correctly but it just makes my steam black... I don't have that cool combine guard or anything..

I unpacked the rar into my folder, C:\Program Files\Steam

What am I doing wrong?

You have to unpack it into a folder called 'skins' (located in your Steam folder)

You know, you have to change the skins under "settings" and restart steam to see it, right?

Are there still bugs with skins? For instance, some time ago, if I used the grey steam skin and I played DoD, I couldnt read the say's and the timeleft messages and stuff

hmmm, see i lost my valid cdkey, so i can't really test every part of steam from my end, whereabouts does it do this? and what color is the background in this part?

or perhaps if you can take a pic
