A.I. Disabled

Hi everybody, i bought this game couple of days back and really enjoying it, untill yesterday it started giving me problem when i load the game it says "A.I. Disabled" and then all the characters are like doing nothing, just waiting for me to jam them. Could anybody have any idea how to fix it. I would really appreciate your help thanx.

while in game hit ~ and type ai_disable (i think that should toggle it back to normal)
EDIT: also you may have saved right after ai got disabled for some reason so when you load it loads the ai disablement aswell)

And if hitting ~ doesnt bring down the console, then you gotta turn it on in advanced options.

create a shortcut to hl2.exe like this "hl2.exe -console"
run the game from this shortcut and press "~" to bring down the console.....then type ai_disable 0 (the console will help you type it) and everything should be fine

The AI is broken in the WAREZ version. Don't steal.
It only breaks in the warez version, if its a corrupt file, validating with steam will correct it.
If you have pirated it, then using the console probably wont fix anything like that, not to mention the other bugs (such as missing levels, sounds, music, textures).

I love the way he declared he bought it straight away. Surely the proper and most unsuspicious way would be to just say "I have problem X".

Yeah, he's also got a postcount of 1 which is shared by 100% of people who've downloaded the warez version and asked for help here.

yes its a pirated copy but thats all we can buy where i live. original games aren't marketed here and can't get CDs through courier coz of government restrictions..so no choice but to buy them. unless u have a better option !! got one??? oohhh and Dasparov.. Bite me!!

uhhh...I'm quite sure that there are Countries like that where they don't sell games, and only bootleggers sell pirated versions on the street.

He could be lieing, but I've never heard anyone making an excuse like that because they pirated the game...usually they don't care what we think.

He could live in North Korea....I'm guessing they don't sell video games there, but then again...I really don't know much about North Korea, so I could be completely wrong. For all I know they don't even have Internet.

d**k head thats address of a broadband service. if u mean i should download it.. emm how do u suppose me to pay for it online?? if u think through credit card .. emm go and check if PayPal has pakistan on its country list... that will give u an idea how much sites do accept payment through credit card from Pakistan.

(P.S. If you have a PC with an Internet connection, you can buy the game through Steam, so you buying a pirated copy of HL2 because 'the area I am in doesn't sell originals' is not a valid excuse.

I suggest you uninstall your warez copy of HL2 immediately and get the real deal.)

If you have a credit card, you can buy the game, it doesn't matter that you're in Pakistan.

It's your choice anyway, you may perfectly well choose not to buy the legal copy and stay with the warez one, accepting the inconveniences from that.
