I hate it when people do or say somthing really stupid or annoying (on purpose) and then just say... JK or somthing.

It's a joke. I understand where he's coming from since it does get annoying to see so many whining threads about how Valve 'mistreated' them or how impatient they are. But you don't need a thread to counter them; just ignore them.

Besides, you have a point, some strange people are like that. Whats worrying is they are also saying Valve should release it now, even if its not completely finished and patch and improve it later. I've just been witness to many die hard fans elsewhere doing the VERY same thing, and they got their wish, and you know what they did? They complained because it wasn't what they wanted. Completely forgetting they got what they asked for. Nobody but themselves to blame. Pretty sad that their just sitting and complaining more about it too. Also when you think these particular fans are so called adults and 95% of them over 35. Very embarrasing behavior and not a good example to others :(

And for those of you who ACTUALLY got pissed off because of the delay... seriously, you really need to get a life...
 
What I don't understand is that the people who write all this rants about Valve , say that the main reason is the on-going delays.

The fact is that Valve delayed the game once , they missed 1 release date (sep 30th) , neither April nor any other date was official and declared by Valve.

Plus , even the new "date" , Summer , isn't the release date of the game. It was said that they are aiming Summer for the completion of the game , and not the date of the release.

Eventhough I hope they complete the game by the time of summer , I know that there is the chance that they won't meet the date.

If the game isn't complete by the Summer and Valve will delay it again , I won't be mad or angry , just disappointed and I'll have the knowing that they are just making the game better so we can enjoy it even more.


Keep on going Valve , you are making tremendous work!

I know that the original post was a joke , I just maid general comment about people who flame Valve ( the first post laughed about those people) so my post was a general comment about those people ( the one who falme valve , not the guy who joked about it).

I first read this and thought omg, another valve hater,also if all the 500,000 ppl that took the HL2 survey on steam, and if they all plan on buying HL2, valve can expect a 25,000,000 dollar payoff. and thats just if 500k buy the game and i bet they'll be more ppl buying it, than 500k. thats lotta freakin money. I bet the DNF team will die b4 DNF is finished and DNF will become a myth, and myth became legend and for two and half thousands yrs it was forgotten.

LOL.. and orcs, elves, hobbets, etc. roam the earth in about 2500 yrs ... now I get it, LOTR aint just a nice story, its a Prophecy!! atleast we will be prepared. just complete DNF and everything will be ok

I think there should be a designated "rant" section. It would clean up alot of crap threads on this beautiful website.

Just think...all the money they recieved for HL1 went into HL2, just think how much money is going into HL3!! The joy. But, can't get excited about HL3 because I'll probably be dead before it comes out!

edit: I think A BRILLANT idea has just hit me. Ok, I say that any thread that has the words VALVE and any hateful words AND has a poster that has less than 250 posts, to be automatically closed. That way, we would never see Valve flame threads ever again!
 
This isnt a flame thread, the first post at the BEGINNING is a rant and then switches over to a counter rant. There was no rant, the thread name: (warning: contains blasphemy). There was no rant to begin with and there wont be a rant at the end. What rant?

Far Cry, UT2004 and other games will keep me occupied until HL2 comes out. :D
