A Little help please o.o

Well,hello everyone =) I started playing Half Life 2 and I got a little problem.I think it's the graphic card but I dont understand too much of computers so I thought better to ask.The game goes really well but when it reaches some part where it auto saves the game it gives a error msg and shuts down the game.It still saves but shuts down.every loading happens the same.My video card is the one that came with the pc.Intel 82865G Extreme Graphics.I have an Pentium 4 3.0ghz and 760 mb ram. if its the video card is there any way to solve this or I need another vieo card like Radeon or ATI?

I dont know too much about half life 2 bugs but I think maybe your file integrity is lesss then it should be. Try reinstalling or something It cant have to do with your graphics card , so it must be a bug or something

Also, search the forums for a way to turn off autosaves if that's your problem.

Everytime it auto saves it shut downs.I'll try to turn off the autosave and see if it solves the problem

It should be able to be turned off by using the options. If it isnt whichh probly is change it in the .ini

Well people have told me that to shut down autosave you needed to change some files on the Half-Life2/SAVE folder to "read only". now it comes the problem?where the heck is that folder?I can't find it anywhere on my computer +.+ If the game saves it should exist right?

yes its in Valve in your install directory. youll find it by doing some navigating the folders. I dont know y you would set it to read only wouldnt that cause no saving whatso ever?

no it just not auto save the game but it still saves normally.I found the folder and changed to read only =) It helped.the game does not crash anymore on every load. still crashs if I try to save +.+ but I found that it's not just me with this problems.it happens to a lot of people and ther's no cause found till now o.o It seems that even people with a really outstanding computer get this problems.its like random.well at least I can play better now.maybe I'll try to beat the game without saving heuheueh joking

It cant have to do with your graphics card , so it must be a bug or something

This is soooo not satisfactory for Half-Life 2. You should indeed get a better video card. But your problem should not be caused by a bad video card, so it may indeed be a bug.

Have you tried validating?
