It looks a lot like sequal to OoT, which was an incredible game. Too bad it is on a console which I wouldn't pay $30 for.

Your loss :)

A new Zelda and Metroid Prime game (and Resident Evil 4 next year sometime) It's worth buying a GC just for those titles. I can't wait for Paper Mario 2 either \o/

I do agree with ShadowFox with one thing. Ocarina Of Time is an incredible game. Still my favorite game of all time.

OoT was the best N64 rpg EVER, I would buy a GC just for that one game.

Since you can get OoT on the Gamecube already you could have a massive Zelda marathon. :D

honestly, i don't see how people can see the GC as a bad console, but oh well. Metroid Prime, Super Smash Brothers: melee, Super monkey ball, this new Zelda, Star was Rogue Squadron 2, the list goes on of worthy games. But as Warbie said, your loss.

This new Zelda looks awesome. I can't wait to play it, very beefy graphics. I hope it retains that open ended environment that the older zeldas had :)

i have completed OoT once and WW twice, and i loved every second :D the free roaming landscape of WW was incredible, i hope that WW2 will have bigger islands and stuff. OOT was great, loved that as well.

and i WILL read it, when i have enough time....like, say, an entire day :|

Don't start me on Super Monkey Ball!!

What a game that is :) Monkey Ball sums up everything that is great in consoles but lacking on pcs. To experience the best in video gaming has to offer the pc, while certainly a great platform, just isn't enough.

(how could anyone consider themselves a gamer without playing the latest Zelda game anyway?? :) )

Interesting you say that, as I have never even heard of that game. It sounds funny though.

I never said GC was a bad console, but I find its game selection to be lacking compared to other platforms and I'm not much of a console gamer to begin with. My last console was N64.

luckily, my little sister just bought a GC.... now whenever i'm back home, I can play it :p

Warbie, you just made the Z|insane cool peoples list.... PAPER MARIO IS A CLASSIC...

Yay for Zelda!! \o/

There are a lot of cool exclusive games for the GameCube making it worth the $80 bucks or so.

The reason I don't want to buy a GC is because my friend has one...all the above games you've mentioned...and we never play them anymore. Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Smash Bros. the Zelda's....and so on. Rogue Squadron 2 looks kinda fun, but I'll just rent it sometime and bring it over.

The games that he owns definitely lost their appeal a long time ago. I played through some of WW and thought it was decent. I might pick it up again when I get the chance. This new zelda had better be way cooler than the other ones...because I wasn't a huge fan of the N64 games...hell.. I didn't even like Majora's Mask.

The thing the GC has over the other consoles is a variety of games that are very exclusive. While Xbox has halo and Project Gotham, they are in essence a FPS and a driving game.

GC has games that provide a unique feel that many other companies have tried to and failed to copy. Mario (even though I hate the little SOB ;) ) Zelda, Metroid all play unlike any PC game I can think of. Thats what makes the Gamecube so appealing to me.

Oh yeah and MONKEY BALL. super funky fun :)

smash bros. and monkey ball are pretty much all you need for a weekend with friends, and gc has my pic of best game of this generation: Metroid Prime.

the new zelda looks really cool, i didn't like windwaker very much b/c it felt like a re-hash of oot and majora, plus the last boss was so easy it wasn't even satisfying but the game was funny anywho, can't wait for another zelda!

I recently acquired a GC, and I can't see how people didn't like how WW looked. The graphics are amazing! I'll be looking forward to this new Zelda. :)

Metroid Prime :E.

I love that game. I'll put it this way: Most games I buy, I don't usually stick with constantly until I've finsihed them. Metriod Prime I stayed up late to finish :E.

Too right, Zelda WW looked fantastic. Certainly one of the best looking games ever imo, on any platform.

I find visual style and creativity to be far more important than how many polygons are flying around, bump mapping, soft shaodws etc. Take UT2004. While the gfx are detailed, the overal effect is too 'cluttered' for me. It looks messy.

Many feel that Far Cry is 'the best' looking game around at the mo. Of course this is all subjective. Even on full details Far Cry came no way near matching some of the areas in Wind Waker (imo of course)

I agree. The first boss in Dragon Roost was probably the most incredibly graphical moment I've ever witnessed in a video game. The last thing to have that sort of impact on me was emerging on the side of a cliff in Surface Tension. :)

Its always good to see there are gamecube fans out there. Everytime I see other forums talking about Nintendo its usually all negative.

Super Smash bros, WW, and Metroid Prime were all the reasons I needed to buy my gamecube. Funny thing is how I see people so bewildered by others purchasing a gamecube to play a few games when on these very forums I see people spending around 7 times as much to get a completely new computer to play HL2 and doom III.

Oh god yes. I saw this and I was like, "OMFG YES YES YES!!!!"

I loved Windwaker, and I DEFINTELY don't mind realistic graphics. God those GFX are amazing, I didn't think GC could do it! Too bad it won't be AA :(

Glad I bought a gamecube. :D *goes and plays Soul Calibur II*
