Let me begin by saying that among other things, calculus is not one thing I am passionate of. I do however, manage to get As on the tests and homeworks, except for this last test (I got a 58). If I had gotten around an 80, I would have been able to exempt the final test.
However, today they gave us a draft of our grades (a little report card draft that you can take and tell the school operators if there are any mistakes). Somewhere along the line, someone or something must've screwed up, because it says that instead of getting a 58, I got a 95.
This means I don't have to take the final test.
I could go to the professor and tell him if it's ok - he will most likely oblige me to take it, or, if no further thing can be done, he will let it go. This is of course, if I go tell him. If I don't go tell him, then they'll post a note in the bulletin saying which final tests I don't have to take. Calculus will show up. There is a risk here, however; he may find out and then he may make me fail the final test, which means I have to take a remedial (or I donno how you call it) test. To avoid this, I plan to tell him AFTER they have posted the note on the bulletin, so there is no possible solution and I don't have to take the test.
I'm almost positive (I'm gonna study at a uni something related to music) my job won't require anything in calculus but the basics...
Being the idiot I am I'll prolly be self-forced to tell him the truth so I take the final test. I'm not really asking advice on what to do (but if you have any, be my guest) - what I'm asking here is, what would you do in my position?
