Oh Hawk is gonna love you.. he's been banging on about Death Cab for Cutie all week :/

Hawk, if you like Deathcab, try The Postal Service... It's the singer's side project. It sounds exactly like Deathcab, but they use synths and drum machines instead of actual instruments... and there's a chick that sings too. It's REALLY good.

This is slightly off topic, but what's the difference between rap and hip-hop? I don't like either, but I was just wondering what the distinction was.
wow, reading some of the responses to this question, i have a new appreciation for just how white some people can be.. anyway, here's a fairly informative history of rap/hip-hop at wikpedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_hop

generally, hip-hop is considered an art "culture" which includes rap (the vocal expressive form).

Pennywise
Rob Zombie
Metallica
Sum 41
Hot Action Cop (Dirt Bike Rider)
Motorhead
Primus (Jerry Was a RaceCar Driver)
Hoobastank
Trust Company
Anthrax+Public Enemy (Bring 'Da Noise)
Offspring
Rammstein
Alkaline Trio (they're okay)
The Crystal Method (Name of the Game - only good song)
System of a Down
Backsteet Boys (haha, just kidding, trying to get a reaction)

Mostly metal and Punk and stuff. I also appreciate '60s rock music and some country is alright. I'm not a goth punk rocker by any means, however. I'm a normal person.

P.S. Rap licks Monkey Balls. I hate rap with a passion.

The Doors
Led Zeppelin
hrm............................
Not sure what the other top 3 choice would be.
