I for one think the game will actually be pretty awesome. The developers must have realized how high the expectations on this game will be, when the release gets closer. They will work their asses off to make this game worth the wait

I don't think they could ever make DNF anything more than mediocre now. It would be impossible to live up to the hype and make something anywhere near worthwhile. The best thing they can do is just admit they screwed up and be honest with the community and tell them it just isn't going to happen. The media and the community will be so desperate to pan them, and even if just a tiny thing is out of place, they just haven't a chance.

I agree for the most part. After all this time....hmmmm. Besides, I truely believe this is only going to amount to a remake of Duke 3D....it's been the same story over an over anyway....

I think they're gonna get scewered upon release. They should have released in 2001 and got it over with. There's simply no way this game is gonna overshadow Quake 4, HL2, Stalker....actual games that are released in a reasonable amount of time and haven't thoroughly pissed off their fans and others.

Yeahhh......I'll probobly buy it.

How long have we been waiting for HL2......my point exactly. These DNF fans have been given so much crap from 3D Realms that I can't even compare the wait to HL2. So maybe Valve has pissed you and others off, but after waiting for DNF this long, I can honestly care less about the wait for HL2. Same goes for Quake 4..
