A new HL2 trailer ?

I saw on half-life news that a new Half-life 2 trailer is out showing gameplay. It's sound cool. Wait and see. :bounce:

Its probably the one with the driving footage that was just released the other day. I'm pretty sure Valve would be the only other source releasing new videos as of now.

The website said the link is dead already... I'm guessing if it was Valve releasing video they would have done it via steam. Or sent it to fileplanet or fileshack.

I read something in a interview with Gabe though about users hacking the Steam cache to grab videos that haven't been publically released yet.. anyone know anything about this? And were they the video that are already out?

equiv, that was our own Chris_D, and he hacked a vid out of the old steam beta cache. That was a while ago, I doubt it could be done now.

I doubt if it's new considering the last trailer from them, and the site is underpowered, it wouldn't let me download last time, I think you have to pay to be allowed to download.

where can you get this one with the driving footage? is it just the one with the red buggy, or does it show of other vehicles?

UPDATE 11am EST:
I have now gotten into the FTP server to download the video. Only problem is that their server is extremily slow and I'm only getting about 1.5KB/s. I have watched about 1 meg of the flick as Im downloading it. So far it's only the beginning of the E# flick showing off the facial animations. We'll see if there is anything more to it that this as I download more.....

Well the source of that movie was from this site...

And it shows a big logo at the beginning of the video.. the file is almost 30MB, and its 5 minutes. its all old footage except its higher res, and it shows the driving footage throught he dried up sea level.. and when he shoots down the alien manitee ship.

So I'm guessing thats what this video is.

Although that movie is better quality than the original e3 footage (though no where near bink standard) it is missing several minutes from both the buggy and strider scenes. very disapointing.
