A noob Question

I got this game today from HMV and it says enter the cd key code whatever that is but i got no manual with this game and there is no code i can find on the game does anyone know where it is?

Look inside the dvd box. Mines on a sticker in the corner.

Not there mate not even a manual with it which is odd lol i will take it back tommorow and tell em hopefully they will swap it.

Regular version? All the paper sleeves?
I believe it's on the first disc's sleeve... on the back.

ya....i got another simple noob question: Is it ok to run HL2, CS:S , or HL2: DM while its updateing... and how do i know if its doing anything, all my games are just sitting at 99%, i dont know if there actually udateing or not...

I dont think you can, however Ive never tried it

There should be a bandwith monitor in one of the menus on Steam, in the view menu

simo, there is NO manual that comes with the game, the dvd comes with a cd case, and it has the cd key on it, the cd version has sleves for the cds, and its on one of the sleves.

I took it back thank you all for your kind help turns out they was not one in they give me like a orane slip with the key on the bottom thanks alot

They will not run while updating. A little window will come up that says the game will launch as soon as it is done updating. It has a little progress bar and a predicted time-to-finish counter.
