Billions of years ago eh? Stupid speed of light, being so freaking slow :p

If you can think of a faster way to get across the cosmos, please. Share.

Bork'an ftw. D'yanoi is nice too, though..

****en rebels. Do you want our glorious empire to devolve to the Mont'au again?

Sorry, I just had a total nerd moment there. lul.

Space is without a doubt the most beautiful thing to have ever existed.

I can't even imagine what the sky would look like if our sun was like the larger ones(disregarding heat and gravitational pull).

Picture our sun, only filling up most of the visible sky, if not all. :E

I think if betelgeuse was where our sun is it would devour Jupiter.

wait...are these pics real? I mean, no human space shuttle/sattelite/probe/thing has gone that far out in space. Weve just sent stuff around our own solar system, how the **** did we take these pictures??? Sure their not just made up with inspiration etc?

they're taken by space telescopes

I think we can detect the composition of galaxies using radar imaging, to find the size and placement of stars. These pictures must be assumptions on how they should look, based on such data

How could such a well put together video make such a blaring mistake such as not representing Alpha Centauri as a Binary star system? Which it is...

And the fact nothing would look like that, travelling at the speed of light.

It's hardly discovery channel material, give it a break.

I'm not, I figure there's an infinite amount of stuff like our planet even better/worse, we just don't have the means to be introduced to it.
