A question on polls

I had a nasty run-in with a member of this forum. I received a PM coz he didn't agree with something I voted in a poll. Aren't polls private then? I'm not very happy with the fact that other people can see what I vote (esp. with Stern's new poll up). There's nothing written about it in the FAQ, so I thought I'd ask it here.

just a quick question on this subject, how come, for example in sterns poll, i voted yet cant see how people voted, yet when i didnt vote i could see who voted what.

Danimal, can't users edit their own polls? Within the given post edit time? I know you can on other forum clients, but I'm not sure since I've never made a poll here.
