I am having a problem with a physics/meterology related problem. If the temperature at 10m is 260K, what is the temperature at 7M?

260K. The temperature wouldn't change noticably across 3 m. Convection on that length scale would make tiny temperature change statistically irrelevant anyways. The general equation though is that pressure, P = 101.3 kPa - density*gravity*height above sea level(assuming constant density). And P is linearly proportional to temperature for an ideal gas. You should also be able to find tables of pressure vs altitutde on a physics site.

umm...there was a equation for calculating temperature change for isotermic and linear change in the temperature. wait......

damn i only got for the preasure:

p=p0*e^(-density/p0*g*height difference)

i can't find the other

Ok, I figured it out. This was for an air diffusion modeling assignment I had and you had to find the dz/dt value. This value was a constant given based on the stability class. If you don't know what the **** I'm talking about, it's alright. Its pretty specific stuff.

So, you come here asking for help on your homework...

Then tell us "lol it's ok if you idiots don't know what i'm talking about!!!"

BRILLIANT!

Don't hate the brain, hate the bananas. I can't help that my inter galatically large cranium is capable of figuring out such complex situations.

shut up you used google

and the answer is fish

I used you <RJMC>! youuuuu.... Think about that while I'm indulging in these raspberry yum yums

I love how people rush to these topics pretending they know the answer rofl
