What are the chances of some bright spark creating a realistic Monkey Island mod. It's just the water effects are so good, I keep staring at them like some retard.

Then I felt like putting my gun down and just having a nice stroll. If someone could make a nice Melee Island I get down on my hands a knees and perform rude stuff on them.

why is everyone so afraid of modding using copyright titles now-a-days?
Do you have ANY IDEA how many mods are out there with names like, "Lord of the Rings", (Neverwinter Nghts), and "Justice League America", (Freedom Force)? And NO, none of those modders of dead, or sued!

There have been occasions where mods have had to shut down, if I dont remember wrong.
But you are right, most dont bother getting involved and modders do what they wish.

At any rate, I am trying for a fun pirate-esque mod with my rationalized ship to ship combat idea. Since its HL2 and I'm just the average joe enthusiast modder, instead of involving pirate ships, cutlasses, cannons and cannonballs, it would be more like ship-thingies, crowbars, physguns and rather unconventional ammo :E
