Here's a riddle....

When I travel at 20 MPH I arrive 1 hour late, and when I travel at 30 MPH, I arrive 1 hour early. What speed should I go to get there on time?

24mph? That's just a few scribbles on a piece of paper though, I may have made a mistake.

if it's a riddle it's not a mathematical solution

Damn you riddlers.

Answer is: Travel at 30mph and set off one hour later :E

Or travel at 20mph and leave an hour earlier.
Or travel at 60 mph and two hours later.

Did you make this post in a green leotard?

120 miles
20 MPH : 6 hours
30 MPH : 4 hours
Ummm... An event that only happens every hour?
I dunno :/

Is it just me or is it 25mph? I mean seriously.

I think it is, but being a riddle, I wouldn't expect that to be the right answer since it's gonna be the answer 95% of people say.

Now look, it'd be a riddle if the question was 'I go 20mph and arrive an hour early; I go 30mph and arrive an hour late' but a riddle where an answer can be reached very easily by completely logical means is a crappy riddle. It's like 'if I walk slowly, I'm late. If I walk fast, I'm early. How to I get there exactly on time?" WALK MEDIUMLY FFS.

20(t+1) = 30(t-1)
5 hours=t

20(5+1) = 120 miles

120/5 = 24 mph

Yeah that's how I reached my first conclusion. I would say it is right, but apparently it's a riddle not a maths problem. :|

It's definitely a math problem, it's the only way to solve it.

Stupid math, i thought it was gonna be a riddle.

Heres a real riddle "My Smoke comes before my fire, and my rain dries the land. What Am I?"

Its not very hard

Here's a riddle.

Why is it impossible to put your best foot forward?

Because you don't have legs. You have mandibles.

Overanalyzation is occuring in this thread.

At whatever speed that will get you there on time.

Answered, woot.

Edit - I'm assuming 20 MPH and 30 MPH are road names, and 1 hour late and 1 hour early are places.

it's probably one of his homework questions and he didnt know how to do it lol

Haha most likely. Probably taking physics for the first time.

Another riddle:

Why did the boy beat up the chicken?
Because the chicken was eyeing up his mother!
