Do you actually really care about this game anymore?. A week away from release and i dont give a shit anymore......and trust me i was as hyped as all u fan boys were a year ago....and even until the summer i was still excited about this game but its just got to the stage were the magic has just disappeared for me. There is just to many reasons why i have lost interest in this game to post at the minute. I am just interested to see how much hype is actually going around a week from release.......

If hype is what makes you want to play a game, then you have missed alot of great games in the past.

My hype grows with each day I get to knock off my calendar. I am more excited about this game than ever. Yeah, it sucks having to wait, but hell, it will be worth it.

All im saying is if this game was released this time last year my excitment would be overwhelming and i would enjoy this game a hell of a lot more than i would do now. And im sure im not the only one.

Yeah, I'd say I'm excited. Heck, I'm even going to be playing Halo 2 with my friends for 1.5 days straight, just to take my mind of HL2!

Yeah valve have their heads too far up their own asses to realise that they cant compete with the halo 2 release. I mean does anyone think it was completely stupid to release it 7 days after the release of halo 2?

ive been waiting for this game forever like the rest of us and I think the time we have spent waiting for this game will be worth it, in the end this wont even matter to me. You say these things now but you know youll still be playing hl2, and i bet you're going to freaking love it.

Why would it matter when HL2 was released, even if it were the same time as San Andreas and Halo2? Nothing could ever come close to me considering getting something else instead HL2. If people want the game, and many people do, then they'll get it regardless of what other games have just been released.

I'm already dissapointed about the lack of weapons...

Only one of the reviews has pointed this out, which leads me to think that most reviewers were a bit soft with the game

We have already seen all the guns in the game, and most of the enemies too I would say

So I'm not that hyped now

just wait...i'm pretty positive there is going to be enemies (not too sure about the weapons) that NO ONE knows about, cept people who have played the game. you think you know all...just wait...and anyway, what do you want, some super-duper BFG or something? this is a thinking man's game, not a weapons game. and i'm pretty sure the manipulator will be my most used weapon.

My hype-o-meter is at about a 4 on a scale of 10. Not cus i'm not really really looking forward to HL2, its just that its almost here. The hype served its purpose: to keep me interested in HL2 over an extended delay and void of any new information. now I really would rather not be uber-excited, or I might not enjoy the game for what it actually is because of overinflated expectations. I really don't think we (that is, anyone who avoided overt spoilers all this time) know all that much about the plot, or any of the gameplay dynamics. It would really suck to dislike an awesome game because the hype said it would have such-and-such a feature and it turns out that such-and-such was cut to balance the gameplay.
