Well, being the computer ignorant idiot I am, this kind of worries me.

My drive searches itself like when it is using the 'disk cleanup' function. Only this happens at random times, Online or not.

I recently got a new graphics card installed, a GeForce FX 5200 Ultra. (Errors happen all the times now, but that’s not what I am talking about.) Through it didn't start happening until a few days after the installation.

I haven't done anything really major with the computer since the installation.

I hope one of you can help me with this. It is really starting to worry me.

Through I think it is something else and not a virus. But I would like an opinion from some of you.

Yeah windows has that auto-recovery thing or whatever and it keeps backing up your stuff. I just disabled it.

Yeah, Just download an anti-virus.
Goto start then help and support, then search for system restore, and find out how to restore your computer from before you installed the graphics card

Reformat noob! thats what i do but i hate win XP cuz it don't let me restart in DOS to reformat so I crash windows purposely when it rebooting and force it into DOS when I want to reformat! EEK! (is their any easier way of doing this)

You need to reformat your system that often that this is a problem? Geez, make a simple boot disk from any of the DOS or Windows9X and put FORMAT and FDISK on it.

I love when people say to format and start over to solve a problem. It is nothing more than "I have no clue how to solve this problem. Don't even ask me."

Yeah, it keeps your comp running fresh. It's like having a bike for a while, it gets rusty, things start to screw up, the paint peels, etc etc. But when you get a new one, it's brand new and feels great. Umm... Yeah anyway, if you haven't reformatted for a year, you'll have a lot of unnecessary files clogging up your disk, like empty registries, undeleted Temp files, stuff like that, and you'll probably have a lot of file fragmentation. If you wipe your main drive and reinstall windows, it runs awesome.

Edit: Mitoboy, I would wipe your drive and reinstall Windows, so you're installing the drivers on a fresh copy of Windows. That should definitely stop any errors and problems you're getting.

Uhh, how? I mean first of all my disk drive is broken, the button is so If i put anything in it I cant get it out without opening up the side and disk drive and popping it out with a screwdriver, but aside from this how do I make a boot disk for 9x? Just put in like the 98 cd and a empty disk and do something or another? Explain please, i'm retarded.
