AC Milan vs Liverpool - Champions League Final

Here's the 2005 final when both teams made it. This is the only one I could find with commentary.

In 2005 AC Milan were 3-0 up before half-time. That usually means the game is pretty much finished and AC Milan will win. But Liverpool came back in the 2nd half and the match finished 3-3. Liverpool eventually won on penalties.

Who do you think will win this year?

I'm rooting for Liverpool for the sake of nostalgia. Also, I don't care for AC Milan.

Their previous match-up back was a nailbiting game. I'm not a big football fan, but it had to be one of the greatest nights of my life.

The 2005 final was definitely the best game I've watched just due to the clinging belief that the reds would do it, and they did.

Milan are a ****ing brilliant side, Kaka is absolutely lethal. As long as Gerrard plays down the middle and the freak jumps for headers they might pull it off with no ET or penalties. One certainty - they win and I'll be unbelieveably drunk.

I want Milan to win...I just do. Looks like it will be a statemate due to the defensiveness of both teams. Seedorf, Gatusso and Ambrosini all defensive in midfield, and Alonso & Mascherano for Liverpool. Although watching the first 20 minutes, Milan should be defending better with their traditional sublime Italian defence. I don't think we'll have a game as good as the last. Good to have some football to watch again though.

Ha! I knew Milan would score on that free kick, when you got someone like Pirlo and 22m, and the pure striker instinct of Inzaghi, you have got everything to get a goal, even though it was a deflection, i think it was a great finish.

Although Liverpool have been playing very well first half, so it could go either way really, but dont shunt off Milan because as you just witnessed, they will just shock the life out of ya so suddenly.

It better not go to penalties, sick of finals going to penalties.

Watched the FA Cup final on Saturday and the World Cup where England went out last year, but I couldn't care less about the game or who wins. I just see it as a time to knock back a few beers with mates and I'll admit I get quite taken in by the end.

um, yet again a final is decided by not the quality (or lack of) on stage but rather shit reffing.

Inzaghi scored a perfect goal second half, it wont be rememebered because his handling the ball in the first half ended up in the ref making a stupid and fundamentally wrong decision changing the game.

And goes around comes around is bollocks, gattuoso made several red card offenses vs Man U, and should never of played vs Liverpool.

Game ended 1:1 ref mistakes should be stomed down on.

FA cup was shite, UFEA cup was great, Champ league was Shite. Football ended in a damp squib this year.
