Any ways, back on track yet? Over all the coding should be easy, I think the sticky situations (well, I'm not a coder, but I've knowledge of the logic of coding) would be the stats system and such.
Its up to debate whether or not STR or DAMAGE will directly influence the 'concusive strike' intensity.
If damage were the multiplier then naturally consitution would reduce the effect by reducing the damage as 1 stat in constitution will either add 1% or 2% damage absorbtion. (stat cap will most likely be 40, so 1% would be a given advantage even with only 20 cons)
The effect Im trying to achieve is simply this. When struck with melee you will suffer what is called a 'concusive strike', it is called upon (probably) much like the flash bang. This effect causes your camera to 'screw', or pitch, yaw, and roll as well as displaying an over-lay on your screen that has higher density (loss of vision) along the outer edges, and is more easy to see in the center of your screen. The reason I have this is because there is alot of melee fighting and I think a hit-recovery would be cool to do, and this is what I've chosen.
Another sticky area to code might be the jet-packing and flying aspect. The jetpack would be used if the player were to jump, crouch, then tap jump again mid air and their legs would kick out so their body is flat and begin flying rocketeer style. Use of the mouse is your Pitch, and Yaw, holding space allows you to keep your engine running, W and S would be your speed, A and D would be your roll- when you begin to fly you get a new crosshair on your screen, this indicates your direction- the center of the screen is where you're flying to. Using another button on the mouse would either toggle by click, or toggle by pressing the button down; the ability to aim. Looking straight up would cause your cursor to re-enter the flight crosshair diamond and pull your focus back in to where you are flying once it enters the crosshair diamond.
This should make flying a sitch, interesting, and I don't believe anything like this has been done. Should be interesting.
I've no idea how difficult this would be to code but will have my coder attempt this after the stats and leveling system is in place.
