Now available for viewing on Spiketv.com I'm watching it now... it's awesome!!

Afro Samurai is Samuel L. Jackson!!

Yeah. That was extremely awesome.

Ok, for those of you who don't know, I guess I should give a quick rundown about what Afro Samurai is about.

Revenge.

The story is set in a post apocalyptic world where warriors fight with swords AND guns. There are two legendary headbands. One for the top warrior of the land, and one for the second best. The only way you can challenge the top warrior is to be in possession of the second headband. Anybody can challenge the second best for his headband. So to set the story up...

Afro's father was the top warrior when he is challenged by a guy named Justice, who is the second best. After a short battle, Justice kills Afro's father right before his eyes. Afro grows up, has become the No.2, and is on a mission to avenge his father and to take the top spot away from Justice...

And that's where it starts. Go watch it!

Pff. Only available to residents of US and Canada.

I'll take a look.

Edit: Holy crap. Funk music and sword fighting. :O

Well, it seems like they're gonna air it on television on thursday, so I'm sure someone will torrent the episode by the end of the week...

Bitches. Airing to US and Canada only? No one lives in Canada for a start (Bears can't get broadband).

It was so awesome, I watched it 3 times consecutively. i'll keep a watch out for ways non US/Canadian people might be able to 'obtain' this show...

If the most interesting thing about this samurai is his hairstyle then you are better off just getting a ninja or even a pirate.

Guns and swords? Who'd take a sword over a gun? Didn't they watch Indiana Jones?

For the people in the US and canada, the second episode of Afro Samurai can be viewed on spiketv.com. For the rest of the works, just find a torrent of the show. *coughcoughtorrentspycoughcough*

I watched Afro Samurai, and thought it was a little overly gory (something I'm not a big fan of). Like DeusEx said though, it's got incredibly similar artwork to Champloo, but I prefer champloo because I thought the story was better.

And the theme song.
