Quoting something does not make it a meme. Besides, "Ah f*ck, I can't believe you've done this!" isn't as cool as, "You can't cut back on funding! You'll regret this!" (which is a meme).

Yes, however, it IS a phrase that is spreading over the internet, which makes it an internet meme. Like I said, it's not a very big one, but it is still a meme. While there is no official definition of an internet meme, there are still many sites that support it being classified as one.

This isn't a meme anywhere. Tiny memes aren't memes. They're just injokes. A meme has to be widely accepted as a meme. Where's this supposed to be a meme? What sites/forums is this a 'meme' on? No, seriously, I'm only going on with it because he keeps saying it's a meme, and it's lol that he's breaking out the Wikipedia articles, like I don't know what a meme is or something. I'm only going with it because of his insistence. It's funny that he's arguing the point with me, bringing out evidence and backups to try and force that it IS in fact a meme, rather than just saying, "Here's a funny video." It's funny to me, otherwise I would've stopped and not said anything.

I hope Sedako knows I'm just dicking with him. Which he won't be able to do with himself once the committee gets there; zing!

Though perhaps it's helpful to point out there there are a lot of things I like about you, in contrast to this thing I don't like, to put it into perspective for you.

To further articulate what I was saying though, along my lines of thinking, statements like that always seem to come off as, "I respect you except for this, but not this," which gets garbled into, "I don't respect this part of you." Even if that isn't what you meant at all, that's always the first way I read those things. And then it gets to meaning, "Well if he acts like this I'm not going to respect him." Which I know is wildly off point, but that's always how I first interpret those kinds of statements, at which point it sounds sort of ultimatum-ish, like if I continue to act that way I'll lose respect. Which, for the third time I've reiterated it, might not be what you mean at all, but it's how I tend to read those kinds of things.

But naw, I'm really just egging him. I mean it still isn't a meme (;)), but I'm not so vested in disproving Sedako that I'm going to come in here with my Nerd Rage Glasses (with Masking Taped Bridge of Net Mastery) that I keep in a special storage compartment above my keyboard and put on my Pocket Protector of Internet Knowledge Superiority and blast him for it. I'm just messing with him. It was the wiki articles, really. It was like, "I'm serious, this is a meme! Look, wiki says so!" :LOL:
