Im sure HL2 will be really great, but im really looking forward to getting my greasy hands on hammer. I loved using worldcraft, and im really looking forward to seeing what kind of new tools hammer has.

Can anyone speculate on the compile times needed for it? Will it be about the same or you think maybe a little less?

They haven't actually stated how long a compile will take, but they have said that compile times can be greatly reduced by using distributed computing enabled compile tools.

its too bad hl2 will still have long compile times. soon that will be a thin gof the past too bad it is still in hl2 though.
