ai stop moving (not disabled)

Hello, I have a problem.
Friendly units just stop moving. Its not like the ai_disable problem where everything gets frozen. the problem is that a friendly unit tells me "com'on i will show u the way" and then he stops and doesnt move again. So when he is supposed to open me a door I get stuck !! plz help anyone. thanks

What you need to do is go out and buy the game from an authorised retailer.

This means you should not buy it from eBay and definitely don't download it and the crack from the internet.

Go and pay your £30 / $50

Where did you buy it from, how much did it cost and what method did you use to receive the game (CD set, DVD or Steam?)

I have the same problem! But I have a completely legal copy, bought a few months ago for 49 euro, and worked perfect. Until now; barney in "follow freeman" just won't move, my other squad members do move. Please help!

I've had a legal copy of HL2 from Steam since the moment it came out, and I just now decided to play again and during the Black Mesa East chapter when Dr. Mossman leads you to the elevator, she does not follow, halting the progress of the game. If there is a way to fix this without deleting and downloading HL2 again (which I'll probably have to) it would be appreciated.

solved!

Just go back to a savegame where this problem doesn't occur and replay. This worked for me (had to go waaaay back though...).
@15357: your solution (multiple F6&F9's) didn't work, but thnx for the suggestion.
And finally: YES, THIS IS A LEGAL BUG, so please be gentle with the 'buy a legal copy' remarks and give the newbies a change...
