Every time I run AIM, I am noticing in my windows router port forwarding tab that a new manually entered(in this case automatically though) port is being opened... and I have a dozen or so of these that I have deleted. Every time I close out aim and reopen it, it's opening another random port.

This seems highly suspicious to me. There shouldn't be *ANY* forwarded ports in that list except ones I manually set. It's never done this before, and I'm not quite sure what to do.

I have zone alarm installed and installed it recently just FYI.

MSN does the same thing in the earlier versions, or at least components of the earlier version enables this. I've seen it, too. Media player does it, too.

This is the 5.9 version. I don't like the newer version. I have never had this issue before :(

This has been terribly frustrating and I'm not going to deal with this crap anymore. I have found no way around it, so I'm uninstalling AIM and just biting the bullet and going to use Trillian.
