I had a gravity gun, but I had to hand it in to the cops after I shot everybody as high in the air as it could to see them fall down :(

Aah I didn't have the Organic version. Too expensive.

I have got a few nice looking real ones. My favorite has to be the Remington 700 in .30-06.

I have a Glock G23, I use it for threatening chavs...

Nah, I don't take guns outside anymore, damn police and their 'laws'.

Well you could take a gun outside, but you may end up being shot

ICS M4, eh? Didn't go with a CA M15A4? Because that is what I'm gonna get whenever I come back from this vacation. Oohhhh yeah.

Right now I have two non-good guns: a Well MP5 SD6 and a erm... "Pulse P50," which is a clear plastic EBB who's hopup is on some sort of crack. I've just started getting into airsoft, though, so give me a bit, I'm ordering my CA M15A4 Full stock rifle really soon, and after that I'll be getting a GBB which will probably be a lot like yours. And I get to play lots of games this fall when I go off to college, since I'll be living near a few fields. Can't wait for that :D

But to comment on the guns, that is FRIGGIN' SWEET! Hah, I espeically love your sniper rifle there, and the red-tinted sight thingy? My god. And how much was that M92, because that is damn sexy as well... I want one for myself. The M4 is nice too, but I prefer the CA black body. :) You lucky Europeans don't need stupid ass orange tips on your guns.

Also, please note: I am terrified of real guns, but airsoft is way too cool. :p

Here is my MP5

Don't go with CA, they tend to fall apart internally... and have cheap looking metal - go build yourself a G&P one, looks like the real deal ;)

I didn't buy it from the store, because that was over my head. I just bought a used one, from a guy named Flordan or something like that.

What's airsoft?
Spring powered, electric powered, or gas powered toy guns that shoot plastic BB's. Made to look like real guns. Can be used competitively like paintball guns.

Paintball > Airsoft
I suppose if you like playing with big colorful blow-up plastic things, in a flaming orange jumpsuit, wearing too much protective crap, holding a stupid-looking metal tube with a big ugly hopper... then sure, paintball is better than airsoft.

And Recoil, I've talked to lots and lots of people who own CA rifles and they beg to differ.

Yeah, sure, CA is very popular in the UK (and obviously the US), but in Euro-Mainland people report of them breaking, cracking, spitting gears etc etc. - I dislike any CA. We'll have to observe the upcoming M249, though... can't really get any worse than TOP-internals ;) (hmm, a first review reported the stock to break...)

I was waiting for the kids to bring up rocket launchers and miniguns... :p :upstare:

is that mp5 sd6 the cheap electric one? if its the springer thats a good gun, cheap reliable and accurate... i will be ordering one of these shortly http://www.hotspotairsoft.com/hsastore/product_info.php/cPath/21_28/products_id/31
its a tokyo marui ak47-s. Currently my friends already have an ics mp5, tm mp5k, and a tm ak47 spetz. Few of my other friends are getting a few different ones like a tm aug and an ics m4.

we play weekly at my friends house with like 14 people...

oh and btw anyone living in the western PA/Eastern Ohio area, you should come skirmish with our gang some time!

I can't say I've had much experience with other makes apart from ICS, but I have to say, from trying out other folks guns at my home site, ICS Full Metal guns own :)

That sucks about the hole orange tips thing :( Would kinda screw up all the camo I invested so much money into :D

For anyone that like sniping: here's a possed shot of me in the grass
Can ya see me? http://lamppost.mine.nu/ahclan/dau/img/gallery/hill-3-7-05/2.jpg
Thats better! http://lamppost.mine.nu/ahclan/dau/img/gallery/hill-3-7-05/4.jpg

I didn't have camo on my finger tips and hadn't got around to putting on my net over my gun, but you get the idea

And OMG, I have to agree... how annoying is it when your in the car with all your kit and some we prick starts yelling at you from the other side of the street... "get my gun" I say :)

My Beretta is a "HFC M92 M190 Special Forces Full Metal" £90

It makes the single most satisfying sound when you fire a full metal gas blow back, not to mention the sound of the slide comming forward when you load in a mag :D

eh, the thing about airsoft is that I've no idea what gun to get.. i keep meaning to research but i'm busy with paintball. See, paintball is nice and simple.. all the same fps, the only thing that changes is the weight, looks, quality, and speed. Not like airsoft.. *grumbles* :p

No, the MP5 I have is electric. I don't know why the hell anyone would buy a springer rifle. I mean, I would get a springer handgun, but spending lots of money for a rifle that you have to cock each time is just kind of... stupid. But it is a pretty good gun. Not very accurate or powerful, but for what I paid, its worth it.

Maybe you guys can help me decide, though. Should I get a M15A4 Carbine full stock, or a Full Rifle? AHH ITS DRIVING ME CRAZAH!!!

Playing woods? get the full rifle

Playing indoors? get the carbine

That's the thing-- I'm playing both. I guess the woods will be more frequent, though.

Do you play, Crushie?

I don't play, but I've been looking to buy before so i know what's what :E

If you get the full rifle, it's gonna be more accurate at long ranges but itt'l be harder to move around indoors, and is probably gonna be a bit heavier too.

The carbine'll be easier to move around with, lighter and all that, but when playing outside you'll have to move closer to who you're gonna hit if you wanna hit them

Hm, first of all you've gotta go for something you personally like (style). Then you've just got to see if the maker is good :) If you have any favorites yet, I might be able to help you finding an actual model :) PM or here.

I personally would say go for the carbine. The difference is not that huge... maybe 3-5m.

By the way, fellow UK-players, I hear you're getting trouble right now, because of that Crime Reduction Bill, that seems to ban replica firearms :(

It's not THAT big a deal for current players, in that its only banning the sale or the guns, not the use of them for sports.

However, it does mean the sport is going to die :(

Okay, well, its boiling down to this:

$350 CA M15A4 Carbine, full stock
$365 for a rifle, full stock

Both have charger, good battery, BBs, and lubricant. I guess I'm going with the carbine, though, unless someone can prove to me that rifles really aren't all that much bigger that they screw you up indoors. :)

Good luck to you UKers, hopefully the bill won't pass. Quite stupid if you ask me.

ICS would save me 15 bucks! omg :p Too bad I've heard accounts of bad things about ICS, and no complaints whatsoever on an entire forum of airsofters on the CA. :)

full springers are great for skirmishes, they are way more accurate then pistols, and are a good addition to the style if no one has an aeg

I don't yet but I really wanna start, I love the Tokyo Marui ones are they recommendable?

ICS!? CA!? HFC!? Springers!? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!???

Huff. I must admit when I did play (owned an XM177, P90, AUG Military, MC51 SBS--all TM, along with a KSC G19), I was a bit of an equipment snob, but I honestly can't see why CA and ICS manage to wrangle so many customers into crappy guns with metal bodies. IM(not so humble)O, the only way to go with AEGs is TM, everything else I've ever seen breaks apart so quickly it's not even funny.

</ramble-rant>

Maybe its the fact that I talked to about ten seperate people who own a CA gun and have owned it for a year or more with no problems whatsoever?

Maybe I also don't want to run around with a plastic BB gun, and I like metal heavy things. I also enjoy the higher speed ratings. At least on the Armalites. If I wanted a G36 or something like that, I would look into TM. But I really don't like plastic guns :)

I agree with you on the springers, they are just a waste of money in my opinion. Just throw in a bit more cash and it will be 100 times more fun.
