I've been listening to 10,000 Days almost non-stop. The songs, the succession, the mood, the lyrics, the guitar work -- the entire thing is masterful.

The first couple times I listened to the title track, it bored me to death, but it's actually quite an amazing piece of music.

I haven't really heard too many 06 albums, but my nod goes to The Black Keys - Magic Potion.

Heh, I was actually drawing a blank until I saw Mecha's post. Anyway, as much as I love TVotR, Mr. Beast gets my vote for album of the year, hands down.
