First play through, at some point after a large battle, either the hunter attack on the 2nd silo, or the Strider attack on the Missile I'm sure I heard Alex give me a 'well done' type compliment on the battle, and then she looked at me and said: "Well what do you expect, a kiss?"

I was surprised, but I played on. 2nd play through I didn't hear it at all.

Was i dreaming, or did I manage to stumble upon an easter egg somehow, or did everybody hear it?

Long hair is a tactical misstep in a combat situation. Better to keep it as short as possible so it doesn't get caught in anything or pulled in a fight. Besides it looks better that way.
