Alien or Predator

I heard they gave it a PG 13 rating :|

and i think that might be the downfall of this coming movie.
it should have been more scary, and rated R, case closed.

im kinda fed up of all the PG rating-cash-cow-money-grabbing movies that these good titles turn out to be.

lets face it, with a PG or AA rating u have a wider range of audience.. but it also means less of what the classic stuff that u used to see in the old Freddy and Jason movies.. :|

friggin hollywood :flame:

I'm barracking for the Yautja. They just rock, full stop.

And from what I've read, an experienced Yautja warrior can take on several drones at a time, as the drones are actually slightly weaker than the average Pred, and only about as intelligent as dogs.

However, Yautja never take on a Queen alone, if they can help it. Queens are extremely intelligent (possibly more intelligent than a human), very fast, and incredibly strong, so Preds usually go up against them in groups of around a dozen or so, IIRC...

In a 1:1 fight a Predator would win hands down, cos it has tactics and all the kick ass weapons.

Aliens on the other hand breed like preverbial sheep (as you can see in the trailer with all the aliens coming out of the pyramid), and can easily subdue one Predator en-masse.

In a fair fight though, Predators would win all day long.

wow.. are simmo and myself the only ones who think this movie might suck because of the PG-13 catering they are doing for the audience?

No, I think it might suck, too. Won't stop me going, though. I never trust the critics, so there'll really be no way for me to tell if it sucks or not bar actually seeing it...

I'll go see it, but I'm expecting Predators to completely pound the Aliens into the frozen artic wasteland. Until the hero turns up, of course.

There's an Alien Queen though!

What I want to know is - how did the Aliens survive under the ice without food for thousands of years?

Hibernation, like the way those eggs in the Spacejockey ship survived for all those years.

They can do it in space, too...

I think on a one on one match predetor would win. but isnt there more aliens then preditors?

I'm apprhensive about that, but many movies push the boundaries of PG 13 well beyond what you'd expect.

And, if you think about it, there really wasn't too much gore in the movies.

Mostly just scary language!!! Yikes!

I am woried about the movie

first the 13 rating ------WHAT?! the others movie are one's of the most bloody movies I had see

people that say that the director is very bad

I hope AVP will be good

*<RJMC> crosses fingers*

The humans seem more of a 2nd part of the story, just to connect our world and them, I hope to god all the humans die in the first 10 mins and the rest is Pred vs Alien ass kickin and fightin.

what I hope is that the movie will be good

*<RJMC> cross fingers*

WTF. on yahoo movies it says its only 1 hour 27 mins. Man, its gunna be like jurassic park 3. too short

WHAT??!!!! 1 hour 27 mins????!!!!

maybe.. but i think the older AVP fans will probably come out of the theatre disappointed...at least im betting on that.

perhaps i should go create a thread on hollywood movies.. but generally speaking...directors (or whoever is in charge) cater too much to a wider audience.. mainly for financial reasons which has mostly.. (at least in the last 10 years anyway) led to sub-par movies in terms of what they originally were remembered for.
