Alien vs. Predator 2

Ok, last time I played this game I was like 10 or 11, I am now almost 16, and I pawned the game when I was 11 because I thought it was too scary (I played the multiplayer ALOT, though..), I liked the Predator campaign, I didn't get far with the Alien Campaign, and I never even touched the Marine Campaign (I saw my brother play it, and I was like "F*** THAT!"), I just got it back (not the same copy, but the same game), and man the Marine missions are intense!

I replayed the Predator, it is still my favorite, the Alien Campaigns are a little easy (pounce, claw, bite head, repeat). The Marine missions are freakin sweet! near the start there is so much atmosphere it felt like the movie Alien (besides when you see Predator..).

I just needed to go on this little rant because I didn't remember how awesome this game was until now!

I guess this is a discussion thread for the game.

P.S. I have played Primal Hunt expansion, but only the Predalien campaign, I don't remember why not the Predator campaign.. I did play it online alot though..

It certainly gives doom a run for its money, well Doom 3 to be more specific. Anyone that thinks a game is scary should go back and play AVP2 and play as a Marine...bugger me with a fish fork those were scary times. I swear, everytime that iconic beep came up on the motion detector i ran out of my room haha.

Found it about a week ago for £2 (About $3 maybe?) so decided to pick it up as I had it before. Still an awesome game and scary as fo0k. Love it.

What I loved is playing as a facegrabber, finding a human, becoming a chest burster, then finding a small mammal (a cat in the case of AVP2) and eating it to become a drone. The evolution aspect of the game was simply revolutionary for it's time. The entire Single-player is ****ing brilliant, a must play for any PC game fan.

There are 2 games in history where I found that flares were actually useful.

Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis
Alien vs. Predator 2

The flares saved my life! I shot a few flares in to where I thought I'd get ambushed, just as I ran in (and got ambushed) my battery wore out for my flashlight, it would have been pitch black, except for those flares! THANK GOD!

And those stupid little beetle things that fly around nearly gave me a heart attack. I see motion on my rader, and to my right, and see nothing. See motion to my left, see nothing, then I hear this flapping (the beetle wings), turn around almost pissing myself, keep looking for motion, then I see these 2 black things fly around in front of me and start shooting randomly, jumped about 3 feet off of my chair.

Wasted a good half-a clip on nothing but air..

Reminds of when I played it in multiplayer, me and a friend were marines and a third buddy was a predator, we were guarding a small hut in the center and I'm tellin' ya; We killed each other at least nine times each when the predator showed up on our motion sensors.

"It's in the hut! AAAAAARGH! SHOOT IT SHOOT IT! Oh short, sorry buddy." *CHLING!* "Dangit."

I never played Primal Hunt, is it good?

It's pretty good

Marine: Don't know how it is, never played the Marine in Primal Hunt

Predator: An ancient Predator (I forget how he was frozen or whatever) comes back to life with his ancient weapons still at his disposal. (Energy Flachette is like a machine gun with energy balls)

Alien: Not alien, but Predalien (An alien infects a predator), havn't got really far in this, it was kind of boring tbh.

Of what I played in Primal Hunt, 95% of it was pure awesome.

I satarted to play the Marine campaign, but within minutes of playing it, I realized for some reason it played like shit on my box so I uninstalled it. that was a long time ago though.
