I just played this on lan with a few Friends today haven't played it in awhile, and man was it ever fun i had forgotten how awesome this is as a lan game aswell as internet matches... what are your thoughts on the game?

The movie sucked slightly deformed and swollen ostrich balls.

Haven't even heard of the game until now. Is it really good? Or is only good if you play with friends, or what?

By the way, it's 'Versus'.

The game came out before the movie, number 1 and 2 are out, although i prefer 2, the storys pretty good, oh and thanks for the correction

Have you been living under a rock? Yes it's a very good game. I also prefer the second one made by Monolith.

Just to make things clear for you, the story in the game has absolutely nothing to do with that POS movie. The action takes place on that planet from Alien and Aliens the only difference is that there are some other unwelcome guests, the predators.
You can play as either a colonial marine, an alien or predator...

Both games are really great, though I think the first one nailed the scare factor perfectly.

The Predator SP in AvP2 is just fantastic, it really feels like you're the "Predator" slaying your victims and collecting their skulls.
I have yet to complete the marine campaign though, the facehuggers just creep the hell out of me.

absolutely nailed everything in that game. The fear of being a marine, knowing you're being hunted, the superiority of the predator, and the animal feeling of the alien

Awesome games. Played and finished both on normal through all 3 species, on AvP2 I got to the 3rd or so Marine level, the one after the level where you go into the nest to try to rescue your friend and then make it back up to the APC, on the max difficulty.

They need a 3rd AvP game. :thumbs:

I've only played the second one, it was pretty fun. Multiplayer would be alright too if it wasn't so laggy.

Need AVP3 now.

AvP 1 takes place on LV-1201, AvP 2 takes place on LV-426.
